By Alexander Alexandrut, 5th Class
We had an amazing time participating in Christmas activities in Drimnagh Castle Primary.
Santa Fun Run
On Wednesday, 13th December all the boys took part in an obstacle course with fun obstacles and a lap of running. Students made €2 donations for new Maths equipment, and we also raised €525 this year!
School Performances
There were so many incredible shows, which included “I’m a Drimnagh Castle Student, Get Me Out of Here!”, “Another Christmas Carol”,“Alone in the Castle”, “Humph! The Camel”, “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and many more.
The Pantomime
Both 2nd and 3rd class went to the Civic, 4th class went to the National Stadium, 5th class to the Gate Theatre and the 6th to the Gaiety Theatre. All the classes enjoyed their show and had a great day out.

The School Leagues
This year’s winning team is still pending, with the final taking place tomorrow, 21st December. Last year’s winner was Mayo but this year, it is Roscommon and Clare battling it out . We are all feeling very festive in the Castle and have really enjoyed the run up to Christmas this year!
