Wellbeing

We place a very strong emphasis on pupil wellbeing in Drimnagh Castle Primary School. We understand the importance of equipping the boys with the skills to develop their own wellbeing. For this reason, Mr Briody established and runs our pupil wellbeing committee.

The main initiative that the committee have been working on is the design, introduction and implementation of our whole-school wellbeing framework. Following this framework, we focus on a different aspect of wellbeing every month. Classes take turns preparing and sharing presentations on the specific wellbeing topic of the month at our school assemblies. The children themselves explain the wellbeing theme of the month and offer suggestions to their peers on practical ways to incorporate it into their daily lives both at home and at school.
