Every Wednesday Ms O’ Brien teaches an Irish dancing class after school. It is on in the school hall and there are students there from the Assumption and from our school. There is also a man teaching called Keith. We learn how to do jigs and reels and all sorts of cool stuff. We learn new moves most weeks and practice what we have already learned. At the start of every class we do stretches, then we do a few jigs. After that we might do a different Irish dance or practice our new moves. It is very good exercise.
When classes are finished we do a performance for all of our parents. This happens about every eight weeks. It is one of my favourite sports and it is really good. We are always sweating when we go home and it is always a good idea to save a bottle of water for afterwards.
