For over 20 years our school has been holding Coffee Mornings to raise funds for our school’s behaviour draw and the school in general. This year was no different and everybody enjoyed it just as much as previous years. Sheila helped organise it and put a lot effort into it including two days’ preparation to make it as enjoyable as possible. During the morning the boys are treated to a few minutes out of class and chocolates if they have a sweet tooth.
Parents and boys brought in confectionery such as cakes, chocolate, tea and coffee to raise funds for the behaviour draw. There was also a raffle which cost two euro to enter. There was a good chance of winning one of the many prizes including selection boxes and hampers donated by local sponsors.
Boys and parents could go down between approximately 9:15-11:15 and could spend between 10-15 minutes there. Everybody that helped sell tickets, give out tea, coffee and cake and do other jobs were all volunteers like parents and teachers. Local sponsors were very generous and supplied the raffle prizes this year.
Thanks to all our great sponsors this year: Haven Pharmacy, Aldi, Musgraves, Freshtoday, Halfway House, Halfway Cabs, School Warehouse, Copy Store, Walkinstown Supervalu, Kestrel Inn, O’Sullivan Pharmacy, Eleanora, Colour Touch Hairdressing and Revive Hair and Beauty Clinic.
