The School is delighted to announce that we have received the prestigious Digital School of Distinction Award, which is a Department of Education and Skills flagship award programme which promotes, recognises and encourages best practice use of technology in primary schools. The award recognises the schools digital culture and use of technology to enhance our pupils learning.

On visiting the school the validator commented “Drimnagh Castle Primary School is living evidence of what is being achieved daily, in the effective and innovative integration of ICT and Digital Technologies in a 21st century school… (and) the expertise, proficiency and consideration displayed and demonstrated by  all involved  in their use of technologies was outstanding”. High praise indeed! Well done to all of our pupils who represented themselves brilliantly on the day. Well done to all teachers involved also.

We will hold a ceremony to unveil our award at a later date and hopefully we will have former teacher and IT guru, Jim Phelan back in the school to help us unveil our award.
