Last week we did a science project on capacity. We started off with a bowl of water then we got a bottle of water and put it upside down in the bowl. Then we twisted off the cap in the bowl. We put a straw in the bottle then you take a big breath and blow at a slow; steady pace.
When you blow you can see the water comes out of the bottle and into the bowl and remember it might overflow. We learned that the amount of air in the bottle represented the capacity of the boys lungs.
