On the 14 of January, Room 10 did projects about Italy.
What we needed was: scrapbooks, white paper, colours, pencils and glue. We started off with our Table of Contents which had our page numbers and titles but we didn’t write on it until the end.
We had 3 weeks to finish our projects and most of us finished them in 2 and a half weeks. Some of us started with general facts on Italy, then famous people, sketches, car brands or sports. Some of us got help from family members and friends, like drawings and photos.
A few boys thought it was easy because we were learning about Italy the week before, like the Romans, Leonardo da Vinci, The Leaning Tower of Pisa, The Rialto Bridge and the Coliseum.
We also wrote about Italian food and drink, like spaghetti, pizza, ice-cream, wine and olive oil.
Everyone finished their projects before it was too late but the best thing was that we were happy with them.
Daniel thought the most interesting thing was Leonardo da Vinci was born in Italy. He painted the Mona Lisa and he is famous all over the world.
Ronan thought the most interesting thing was that the 4 Ninja Turtles were named after the 4 great artists, Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello. We learned that they are all from Italy. WOW.
By Ronan and Daniel.
